Although 43% of these households already have a High-Definition TV, one-quarter (25%) plan to buy one within the coming year. To further enhance their experience and control, one-sixth (16%) plan to acquire a digital video recorder such as TiVo. This may not be surprising, given that their intensive use of their computer(s) may not allow them the flexibility to watch TV programs on the network’s schedule.
One-sixth (16%) also plan to acquire a Digital-to-Analog Converter box, presumably to breathe life into any older television sets they may have around their house, since only 7% of these households do not subscribe to a pay TV service such as cable or satellite.
